Add to these perfect ingredients the even warmer welcome, the magnificent ballroom and a location second to none! - nestling in the picturesque hamlet of Greta Bridge. New Years Eve - The count down has begun!

  • Arrive mid-afternoon, giving you time to relax and settle into your bedroom, before the evenings festivities begin
  • Freshly brewed tea or coffee with homemade scones with jam and lashings of fresh cream, offered in front of one the roaring log fires

No rush this morning! A leisurely full morritt 'Bucks Fizz' breakfast is served. The day is free for you to explore the beautiful and much undiscovered Teesdale valley, perhaps visiting the market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle. For the more energetic why not visit 'high force' the largest waterfall in Britain or take a trip into the Yorkshire dales. Should you prefer to stay around the hotel, we are serving a three-course lunch with coffee (lunch is not included in our package)

On your return afternoon tea or coffee with toasted fruit tea-cakes awaits you in the lounge Dinner this evening is a quiet affair, a superb four-course candle-lit dinner served in the morritt restaurant. Following dinner, why not sit back and enjoy the ambiance whilst chatting with fellow guests and new found friends or perhaps take in a board game or two

The tariff
For our New Year celebration packages rates are per room (two persons sharing) for the duration of the stay and are inclusive of everything outlined in our programme and value added tax.

Two-night break
Standard Bedroom: £550.00
Superior Bedroom: £650.00
Designer Bedroom: £710.00

Three-night break
Standard Bedroom: £650.00
Superior Bedroom: £750.00
Designer Bedroom: £810.00

Due to the style of our New Year break, the programme is not considered suitable for persons under 16 years of age. Although the Morritt does not have single rooms, should anyone wish to book a room for sole occupancy, it would be available at the double occupancy tariff.

Booking terms & conditions
A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of £200.00 per room is required within 7 days of making the reservation. The balance of payment is then required by the 15th November 2008. Once the payment balance has been received and numbers have been confirmed, they will be considered final.
It is advisable that holiday insurance is taken out against any festive booking, as once any monies have been received it is non-refundable/non-transferable.
We reserve the right to automatically release any reservation where payment has not been received by the due date.
The New Years Eve Gala Ball is strictly a 'Black-Tie' dress code. The evening commences at 7 pm with a champagne & canapé reception, followed by dinner being served at 7.30 pm. The vegetarian option on the menu is only available when pre-booked and all vegetarian courses will be served.
Children - The New Year Programme is not considered suitable for persons less than 16 years.
We reserve the right to amend any of the package content, without prior notice, which may result from circumstances beyond our control.
Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the two courtyard bedrooms, however you will need to provide a dog bed. There is a small charge of £15.00 per dog. Dogs are not permitted in food service areas.
Although the morritt does not have single rooms, anyone wishing to book a room for sole occupancy, would be charged at the double occupancy tariff.
The New Years Eve Gala Ball is hosted in the Ballroom and adjacent function suites. Due to the various sizes and numbers of parties and seating arrangements, we are unable to guarantee the location of your table.
A service charge has not been included in our tariff as we feel it should be left to the discretion of our guests.
